Computer Gaming Proposal
Purpose: To Create a Semi-Non-Violent PG-13 Side Scroller Video Game
Equipment Needed:
Semi-Non-Lag Computers w/Flash of at least MX2004
Copies of Chapters 6, 8, and 9 in the book Beginner Flash Game Programming for Dummies
Used:
Action script (in the process of figuring it out due to really stupid MX2004)
Basic Flash (we’ve got this handled)
And some sort of cure for Junior Non-Motivational Syndrome (a highly contagious, unfortunate disease involving lack of motivation, sleep, and such. No known cure so far.)
Comments:
We know this is our first flash game, so we are going to try to “think small”, a simple side scroller. Not too simple, because then it just sucks. Maybe some gravity action script, but the book is kind of iffy there. My Opinion is to find some way to read most of the book before we start on the actual game, otherwise, we are probably better off using a little key with all the action script commands. Also, there is a slight concern with our version of flash/the computers over here. Last time we tried to use action script, items disappeared from our flash document.
